Yea, I wouldn't care. It's her body, she wants to get a tattoo or become a stripper, that's her business.
As for advice to convince him, best of luck with that. I find guys have serious ego connections with their girls. I even have a friend that has a serious problem that his gf wasn't a virgin before they started fucking. Everybody's different for that kinda stuff.
